Okay so it's been a little while so let's catch up.
Sunday:
So Sunday night started with an improv show at The Comedy Store. This is where Who's Line originated so I kinda had high hopes. It wasn't all that funny. I think the Comedy Club down at Pleasure Island is better. It was a cute little place and my coke only cost 1.20pounds which was great. My professor was there and told me she had something to talk to me about after the show. So I met her upstairs and she said a Director was looking for an intern for the week during rehearsals. It was already 10 and it was suppose to start the next morning so she was going to email me the ladies number so I could call her first thing. I was pretty excited.
My friends were already at the Texas Embassy which was the restaurant we made reservations at for the Super Bowl and Aaron sent a text saying there was live music. Being a sucker for live music I hoped on the tube and then found myself running across Trafalgar Square....very much like something out of a movie. The restaurant was pretty cool, very Tex Mex and we had a table right in front of the projection screen. The place was just full of Americans. I got there around 10:30ish and kick off wasn't until 11:15ish (maybe I don't remember) so we all just hung out. There turned out to be A LOT of people under our "reservation" probably close to 20. A lot of friends of friends. Well a bunch of people got up from the table and I look to my left and see Emma from high school. She's here for the semester through UCONN. It was funny, it's a small world.
So I don't need to really tell any of you how the game went. I stayed up only to see the Pats lose. Even worse was the fact that there were no commercials and Sportscasters were British. There were a lot of moments when they were explaining the game to everyone at home. It was a lot of fun though to be with everyone and the bartender gave me my cokes for free and they never gave Meg and I the bill for our Nachos so the night only cost me 2.20pounds. That was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the half time show as well.
So Mila had a flight to catch at 7am and which meant we had to get her on a bus by 4am and the game was done at around 3am so that was exciting. We walked back to Victoria Station and said our goodbyes and got back to Wigram around 4:30. I had about 90pence left on my mobile so I had to figure out a way to top it up so that I could call this woman about the internship in a few hours. I got a hold of the phone people to link a credit card to my phone but their system was down and they couldn't do it. By now I'm pretty tired so at 5 I set my alarm for 7:30 to wake up and call and just hope the conversation only lasted a couple minutes. The snooze button got the best of me but I eventually woke up only to received the woman's voice mail which I was part sad and part thanking god over because I got to go back to sleep. Unfortunetly she never called me back....but I slept in till 1 which was great.
Monday:
So I slept in and then watched Scrubs in bed most the day. Laura and I went to the A&E Department (ER) at a nearby hospital for class. Worst assignment ever. We walked in for about 3min and left. I have to write a thoughtful journal entry for it now. At least it got me out of my pajamas.
Of course Monday always ends with McFlurry Monday. As always, enjoyable. The music this week was especially interesting. They played Techno remixes of Stevie Nicks.
Today (Tuesday):
Laura and I went to Pizza Hut for the Lunch buffet. THE SODA WAS UNLIMITED!! There was a salad bar, pasta and pizza. It wasn't bad. We had a few sodas each which was the best part.
After was Lesiure and Recreation which was lame as always.
Now I am eating Kraft Mac and Cheese which is amazing. The best part is I'm pretty sure there is enough left over for 2 more meals. I really should clean. My room is a mess. I'll probably do that, my journal and watch more Scrubs...or Pushing Daises which I just started watching too.
Anyways, I'll post Later, Jeannie
